Sundance
Do not proceed to a Sundance if you are under Alcohol, or Drug influence or if a woman on her menstrual cycle.
Remove all jewelry, glasses (unless you really are near blind) dress modestly. Women long skirts, no low cut exposing tops, and wear a shawl.
Men shorts are not allowed but that depends on the dance so inquire and never assume.
Food, drink , and smoking is usually refrained from under the arbor, after all the dancers are suffering and you came to support.
Bring your own bowl for food, cups or mugs, and silverware.
Make yourself available to help with what ever is needed.
These ceremonies do not occur with everything being made ready they are made ready with everyone's effort and giving of themselves. Don't be afraid to ask what can I do?
Eat, drink, sleep, go to the bathroom with the dancers in mind, yes by doing so You help them out.
Pray hard for them and what you need, this is what it's all about. Coming together to pray and give of ourselves.
